Unifiber, our valued customer of the Gridsz Platform, recently added the Gridsz Service module to their network resource management system. It was a decision that marked a significant step towards further improving Unifiber’s fiber optic network management service. The move is part of their strategy of leveraging technology to enhance customer service and operational efficiency.
Practical solutions for faster response times
The Gridsz Service module is designed to automate, simplify and streamline the management of planned works, maintenance workflows and service incidents. “We see the addition of this Gridsz module as a tool to help us manage the broader network more effectively,” says Krista van Roode, responsible for Operations at Unifiber. “It’s about making our processes more efficient, both for us and for our operators, and using it to make our response times even faster. The module’s ability to provide fast impact analyses is also a huge advantage in this.”
Improvements: more efficiency, better communication
With the implementation of the Gridsz Service module now complete, Unifiber is pleased to see that the improvements in terms of efficiency and communication are already being realized. Van Roode says, “The promise of further automating incident management and being able to share faster status updates with our clients are the aspects that we were most excited about when we chose to implement the Service module. We expect it to continue to provide real improvements for years to come, especially in how quickly and efficiently we can manage and communicate planned maintenance and process incident tickets, and give our operators the information they need to inform their own customers on a timely basis. These improvements will mean more customer satisfaction all along the chain, for our customers and our customers’ customers.”
Realistic optimism for measurable results in the long run
A big part of Unifiber’s decision to implement the Service module was the improvements it would mean for the work of managing the diversity of day-to-day management of the network. The team was particularly keen on utilizing task-driven features like automated ticket workflows that give everyone involved continuous real-time status updates without having to wait for cumbersome manual processes. The increased efficiency is already having a positive effect on both their workloads and the speed of communication. Unifiber sees the integration of Gridsz Service as a key component of their strategy to continuously improve network service management. “Given the improvements we are already seeing after the implementation, we are very optimistic about the benefits this Gridsz module will bring to our operations and to our customers over the longer term,” Van Roode concludes. “We are seeing these new capabilities as a practical and measurable way to enhance our service delivery.”
