DELTA Fiber Chooses Standardization and Scalable Network Management with Gridsz
September 18, 2025 – DELTA Fiber has selected the SaaS platform Gridsz as the new foundation for managing and expanding its nationwide fiber infrastructure. With this move, DELTA is taking a major step in the digitalization of its processes and in strengthening collaboration with its chain partners. Gridsz replaces the in-house developed WMS system, which was in use for more than ten years, and provides a scalable and standardized solution aligned with the provider’s growth strategy.
From Customization to Flexibility and Scalability
The WMS system, developed in collaboration with Infodation, had been providing DELTA with the customization, control, and insights it needed for many years. But with the shift from being a construction-oriented company to a management organization, needs have changed. “We want to make our work more efficient, both technically and operationally,” says Marjolein Smeets, CIO at DELTA Fiber. “That requires shorter lead times, real-time insights into our networks, and better collaboration with partners. At the same time, we want a proven, robust solution that can grow with us and help control our operational costs.”
Reducing the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is also playing an increasingly important role. “We aim for as little customization as possible and a standardized way of working so the network can be managed more effectively and cost-efficiently throughout its entire lifecycle,” Smeets adds.
A Platform That Adapts
DELTA Fiber has deliberately chosen to align with Gridsz, a modular and API-first network platform. The provider will soon be working with nearly all of the platform’s modules, including Availability (already active), Order Fulfilment, Service & Incidents, Build, Address Management, and Info Warehouse. “With this integrated approach, DELTA can standardize processes while remaining flexible, with a central hub for resource management and network operations. We don’t have to compromise on our way of working.”
Collaborating from One Shared Network View
A major advantage of the transition is that contractors and active operators—DELTA’s chain partners—will also be working from the same platform. Smeets explains:
“We want to spend less time on coordination and deliver more value to the end customer. Now, we can collaborate from one shared network perspective. This prevents misunderstandings and increases efficiency.”
Gridsz: Ready for the Future
Kees Jonker, CEO of Gridsz, is proud of the collaboration. “DELTA Fiber is a large and ambitious player. Their choice for Gridsz confirms that our vision on standardization and scalability matches what operators truly need today.”
Jean Vervloet, CCO of Gridsz, adds,“With our platform, we help reduce operational costs, shorten lead times, and increase DELTA Fiber’s agility.”
