The Availability Checker (AC) is the core component of Gridsz. AC is a data warehouse that provides insights into the network status. Being either an existing or planned connection, both are visible in full detail in a complete and continuously updated overview available at any time with a simple search.
Useful for network owners and operators as well as service providers who need to answer customer requests. A simple click on the connection ID provides the technical details, and when using the Fulfilment module, show the order planning and status in real time.
The Availability module is designed to continuously extract the latest information through direct connections to asset management systems, such as Cocon for fiber optics, but you can also upload your own (copper) network data for a full overview of your entire network.
The data warehouse allows you to filter and slice information along any parameters you like for easy use in your internal processes. To keep your data secure, user and security management are set up to strictly allow access only to those with specific permissions.
AC has three ways to access network information:
- Gridsz Portal (portal.gridsz.com)
- APIs (REST and GraphQL)
- SFTP (CSV exports)
User groups
The access rights for the Availability modules distinguishes three user groups: Data users, data owners and data provider. Depending on the user group, the account will have access to different areas and different features in AC. Users can have one account with different roles and rights per dataset.
The following is a simplified overview about each group’s abilities:
Role | View data | Export data | Import data | Override | Bulk edit | Write Patch | Data rules | Polygons |
Data Owner | ||||||||
Data Provider | ||||||||
Data user |
Gridsz can pose restrictions on which connections can be seen by specific users.
