Portal: getting started

Welcome to Gridsz! If this is all new to you, let’s get you logged in and show you around. Per module we offer various articles describing the core functionality and how-to articles to take you by the hand managing your activity.

To make access simple and secure, the Gridsz portal Single Sign On (SSO). This allows you to log in using your organization’s existing credentials (no need to remember a separate username and password).

  1. Enter your e-mail address on the Gridsz portal, you’ll be redirected to your organization’s login page*.
  2. Enter your usual work credentials (email, password and/or another authentication used within your company).
  3. After successful authentication, you’ll be automatically redirected back to Gridsz

*) If your organization has not configured SSO for the Gridsz portal (yet), you will be asked to use the Sign Up routine. By entering your name and email you will be signed up as a guest to the Gridsz directory.

If you experience any issues, please contact your organization’s IT administrator. IT administrators: check out the SSO set-up instructions.

Main menu

The top menu shows the modules you have access to. The side menu gives you access to documentation, advanced settings, logging and exports (depending on user rights).

If you are an administrator you can access the Admin portal from this menu and if you have multiple accounts you can switch user profile.

Search panel and results pane

The specific functionality of the modules are explained elsewhere, but most modules have a search panel and results pane, which can be tailored to your needs.

The default selection (for example Dataset: All) can be adjusted using the dropdown. The plus icon allows you to select additional columns to filter on and the save icon allows you to save the criteria for future use. If you do not get the expected results, you may want to reset the filter and try a different combination of columns.

The results pane shows the number of records found and the column headings offer filter and sort functionality. Depending on the module and the user role the top of the results pane offers functionality to edit/export the selected records or add new addresses or tasks.

The column configuration allows you to add additional columns to the results pane.

Searching by DHid, Search codes and other address or connection data will become second nature over time, but check the Glossary for more information.
